I hope you will join my conversation, as I talk about the books that I am reading.
This page is to help understand the format of my book talks and what exactly does that word BookTalk mean.
BookTalk: it comes from the phrase "pillow talk." BookTalk explains the initial feels you have after a roller coaster experience of reading a novel. It is a way to clear your mind before your next read. The book talks judge the book, character, setting and plot raw. There isn't a filter to the feeling you feel at this moment. It allows one to process the emotions, and come to an understanding of the author's purpose, motive or resolution of the book.
BookTalk Format: even though the book talks themselves are informal, I try to hit certain points in my evaluation. I will give the first and last lines of the book. There is always a brief overview of what the book is about, so if you have not heard of the book, or are curious to what it is about, there it is. After that I usually break my reaction based on character development, setting, or plot. Ending with "All in All" which are my final thoughts about the genre, book, and/or author.
***Watch out there may be spoiler content in the character, setting or plot sections of the post. I will try my best not to have any spoilers, but I just want to give you a clear warning***
