First line: It will not
be a welcomed dawn.
Now
let us get down to business: At dawn the king's bride dies. No one knows
why the king is doing this, and that makes the act even more cold-hearted. But
when Shahrzad's best friend, Shiva, is one of the king's latest victims, she
volunteers herself to be the king's bride. Shahrzad has one desire...to see the
king dead by her own two hands.
Now
doesn't that just sound AWESOME!!!
Last line: One day, I
will write it in the sky.
Characters
Shahrzad. She is one of the best characters to read. She is loyal to her friends and family. She is clever. She stands on her own two feet, and she let's it be know to everyone who crosses her. She is not only a skilled fighter, but a genuinely smart, and caring person. She is also stubborn, which both helps and hurts her sometimes. Shahrzad is hands down the new female heroine of the century.

Khalid.
He is called the boy king, a monster, and is one the top of Shahrzad's hit
list. Khalid is quiet, cold and has a raging temper. If you cross him he will
not hesitate to kill you. You should be afraid when you see him. But then at
the same time, Shahrzad is able to discover a different side of him one that
cares, that is loving, thoughtful and kind. That makes it even harder for her
to kill him, but Shahrzad is determined not to let his kindness, cause her to
waver on her path on revenge.
Plot
OMG are you going to love the plot. It easily jumping between Shahrzad and her family and friends she left behind. You sit there and see all the cards and bit your nails in hopes everything will turn out right. I finished this book in a day.

Readers
Note: There is a glossary in the back of the book! I didn't
realize it until the end. You don't need to use the glossary, it isn't do or
die, but it is totally helpful in the first few chapters.
All in All
I pretty much said how I loved this book already. I hope you decide to read it becasue trust me you will not be disappointed. Renee Ahdieh is an amazing author, and I can't wait for her next works!! Definitely an author on the rise! Higly recommended!
