So like I said a billion times before, I am in Thailand. Knowing this I made it my mission to find if the Mockingjay would be playing in a theater near me. And I was able to find that yes it was playing! But that wasn't even the best part! The movie came out on the 20th of November a whole day before the USA. Ahh! I was excited, but life happened. I wasn't able to see it until Saturday the 22nd. All my friends from home were messaging me asking me if I have seen it, days before I actually did.
So now that I have, I am so excited to talk about it!!
These movies are progressively getting better and better. I was interested to see what they were going to do since, Mockingjay is mostly in Katniss' head for most of the novel. The first half does move a little slowly, but in the movie they were able to keep the momentum going.
I truly enjoyed watching it, but of course, I have favorite parts!
Top 3 Favorite Parts:
1. The Hanging Tree Song. Yes, Jennifer Lawrence sings for us in this movie. The song was so fitting for what was going on in the movie in that moment. It was just such a climatic part, and it was just so fitting to have that song there as they storm the dam. It was awesome.
2. When they are in district 8 and the famous line, "If we burn, you burn with us" is said.
3. When Finnick is sharing his life story of being a victory, and the secrets he learned about Snow's raise to power.
Oh course the whole movie was a bag of awesomeness, but if you haven't seen it yet now you have at least 3 awesome parts to look forward to! And if you have already seen the movie, we can fangirl together over them.
I can't believe we have to wait a whole year, for Part 2 but I am excited to see how the series ends. And can't wait to watch it again with my brother when I get back in the States.
